This category should be used if there is a risk to life or limb, the building operation is severely affected, security of the property has been compromised, or there is a Health & Safety risk . Please note where there is a risk to H&S it is the duty of the Responsible Person to ensure that all risks are managed by either eliminating, removing or reducing the risk to an acceptable level until the issue is resolved.

If you require emergency assistance during normal working hours (08:30 – 17:00 Mon-Thurs & Friday 08:30 – 16:00) please call your Maintenance Inspector directly.

If you require emergency assistance out with normal working hours above please contact the Call Centre on 01506 280000.

Emergency work is defined as work which, if not done, would result in:

Closure / non-effective operation of the unit – e.g. major heating or electrical failures;

Risk to clients, staff or members of the public – e.g. bulging ceilings, gas escape, falling masonry, slates, etc;

Further serious damage to property – e.g. burst pipes, security issues.
